A web portal dedicated to the promotion of Algerian non-oil exports (www.exportal.dz) has been put online, indicates the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI).
This website is designed as a space for virtual exhibition of Algerian range of products and services, provides exporters the possibility of displaying their products and their relevant technical and commercial information.
Offering in a first phase a range of food products and crafts, Exportal is intended to promote the Algerian product to foreign customers and encourage them to come into contact with the Algerian producers.
In this regard, the CACI "invites exporters and producers with exporting potential to join the final version of this promotional tool, with a concept of autonomy and flexibility of management."
Exporters wishing to register on the portal are to receive a log-in and password and can insert data on their products, which guarantees a high degree of autonomy in managing their own spaces of virtual exhibition."
The portal also provides a platform containing various companies listed on the data (information, sales, employees, capital, export markets, etc.).
In 2013, the Algerian non-oil exports were 3.28% of the total volume of exports equivalent to $ 2.16 billion, up 5% compared to 2012, according to Customs.
