Manama - BNA
For the third year running, INJAZ Bahrain, a non-profit organization aimed at inspiring and preparing young Bahrainis to succeed in a global economy, attracted a large number of participants in Youth City 2030, with 100 students joining the organization's programmes and activities in the city. INJAZ Bahrain offered three of its programs in Youth City 2030, two for the 10-14 age groups ("More than Money", "It’s my Business" and "Economics for Success") and two for the 15-25 age groups ("The Company" and "Careers with a Purpose"). The organization also offered a number of accompanying activities to enrich the knowledge acquired by the participants. Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Executive Director of INJAZ Bahrain, expressed her appreciation for the General Organization for Youth and Sport and Tamkeen for organizing Youth City 2030 and thanked all the supporters and volunteers who rendered INJAZ Bahrain's participation successful. "We are really pleased to see our programs are offered during the summer break engaging youth in activities that would fulfill their ambitions and equip them with the necessary skills, tools, and practical experience to join the labour market and be an effective participant in the future of this country," she said. Sh. Hessa highly thanked all volunteers of INJAZ Bahrain programs and the organizations they represent. She noted that these volunteers devoted time to deliver the organization's programs in the summer holiday and played a key role in the success of INJAZ Bahrain's participation in Youth City 2030. This year, the following persons volunteered to present INJAZ Bahrain programs: Mr. Yousif Seyadi from GPIC, Nadeera Buali from Citi Bank, Sana Ali from Gulf Air, Mustafa Anis Mustafa from Akhbar Al Khaleej newspaper and Ashraf Al-Khayyat from BAPCO. INJAZ Bahrain programs focus around three pillars: Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, and Work Readiness. The programs are offered by hundreds of volunteers from across the private sector institutions every year. Over the past 7 years, more than 49,431 students benefited from the 12 programs that the organisation offers under these themes.
