Curricular and Educational Supervision Sector at the Ministry of Education (MoE) started implementing the National Model for Citizenship-Consolidating Schools, in cooperation with UNESCO, in line with the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between MoE and UNESCO's International Bureau of Education (IBE) in Geneva.
The project was implemented in four intermediate schools, through applied activities that promote tolerance and coexistence, in order to enhance the cultures of patriotism and human rights.
The pilot phase consists of seven-day training for 420 trainees, conducted by a number of trainers from the Curricular and Educational Supervision Sector.
MoE analyzed the curricula, reviewed activities related to tolerance and co-existence and explored ways to promote digital citizenship, in cooperation with related authorities and prepared the educational environment to change the schools.
