
Shahrakan Elementary Girls' School organized a workshop on "Journalistic Reporting Skills) in collaboration with BNA Kids at Bahrain News Agency (BNA) as part of the school's extracurricular activities.
The lecture aimed at preparation and encouragement of exceptionally gifted students in journalism, oration, school morning radio presentation.
The Supervisor of BNA Kids website at BNA, Mervat Ibrahim Mohammed, presented a lecture which covered key factors, characteristics and skills of a successful journalist, news editing, photography, interaction and coping with others, opinion expression in addition to introducing the participating students to editing techniques and contrasting between news, reports and interviews.
The lecture was met with highly positive interaction from the schoolgirls who presented various models in the art of news drafting, and posed questions and queries in this regard, wishing to start a future career as journalists.
