The Egyptian Embassy in Lome hosted on Sunday a meeting for Togolese students learning in Egypt.
"This step is in implementation of the directives of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry to be in touch with African cadres from Commonwealth countries, which took part in the training programs organized earlier by the Egyptian Partnership Agency for Development," the embassy said in a statement.
The attendees, totaling 23, watched a video on the new Suez Canal Project and the Egypt Economic Development Conference, which wrapped up in Sharm el Sheikh last month.
At the end of the meeting, the attendees agreed on forming an association for Togolese students and trainees in Egypt to be a link between the Egyptian Embassy and the Togolese nationals studying here.
