
Visiting Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with the chairmen of the Beijing Institute of Technology and the China Academy of Space Technology on Saturday.
During the first meeting, Shoukry and the director of the Beijing Institute of Technology reviewed a previous agreement on establishing an Egypt-China technology institute at the Suez Canal University as part of Egypt's efforts to develop the Suez Canal corridor region, Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel Aati said.
The Egyptian foreign minister and the director of the China Academy of Space Technology probed cooperation between the Chinese body and the Egyptian National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, Abdel Aati said.
