
Mansoura University Council on Monday condemned the blast that hit a checkpoint in North Sinai on Friday killing and injuring dozens of soldiers.
The council members observed a moment of silence in honor of the victims of the Sinai attack.
Earlier on Monday, the university staged a rally in support of the Armed Forces in the war against terrorism.
The participants performed Monday an absentee funeral prayer for the martyrs of the Friday terror attack.
At least 31 soldiers were killed and dozens more wounded by a car bomb that targeted a Sinai checkpoint on Friday.
