
President of the University of Bahrain (UoB) Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi said that UoB had completed its preparations for the 2014-2015 academic year, due to begin tomorrow.
He added that all UoB academic departments, colleges and University Council held preparatory meetings and identified their needs for the new academic year, noting that about 6,000 secondary school graduates had been registered for this year.
Dr. Janahi called on students, particularly the new ones, to ake optimum advantage of UoB's services, facilities and activities.
He said that UoB had implemented its first five-year Strategy successfully, and would announce its new one soon.
He pointed out that among UoB's main objectives for this year is to increase the number of internationally accredited programmes this year.
