Abu Dhabi Ruler's Representative praises Sheikha Fatima's support to women

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, today praised the efforts being made by Mother of the Nation, H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, and Head of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, towards supporting and empowering Emirati women.

In a statement on the occasion of Mother's Day, he said mothers in the UAE have been instrumental in achieving social cohesion and promoting love for the nation.

Sheikh Hamdan stressed that Sheikha Fatima was the ideal mother who inspired and enabled Emirati women to attain an outstanding stature.

The Mother of the Nation Festival was launched today with interactive programmes paying tribute to mothers, recognising the efforts of families to preserve Emirati culture and heritage and highlighting the work of Sheikha Fatima.
