
Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs Mounia Meslem Si Amer and the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Christina Amaral agreed, Thursday, to expand their cooperation in terms of training and promotion of women.
Cooperation programmes were examined during an audience granted by the minister of National Solidarity to Christina Amaral, upon her request, added the communiqué of this ministerial department
The two sides agreed to expand these existing programmes “for the training of elected women at the local level, providing young women with jobs, notably in the rural and remote zones, supporting local initiatives framed by associations and civil society in the field of the promotion of women,” underlined the source.
It was also agreed to intensify the partnership with the national Agency for the Management of Micro-Credit, aimed at supporting women promoters of projects, especially in the country’s Southern provinces.”
