
The Arab Women's Council (AWC) has honoured Dr. Hala Jamal, head of Riffa Women’s Cultural Association (RWCA), along with a group of Arab female activists from Arab Gulf, Lebanon and Jordan in recognition of their outstanding leadership, management and excellence in assuming social responsibilities at the level of Arab region.
AWC Chairman, Leena Al-Daghlawi Mekerzal, in her speech at the honoring ceremony recently held in Dubai, highlighted capacities and competencies proven by the awardees in meeting challenges.
Dr. Jamal underscored the award that represents an additional motive to exert extra efforts in the field of women's empowerment in the Arab region.
She pointed out Bahrain's leadership' interest provided for Bahraini women and programmes and plans adopted by the Supreme Council for Women led by HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King, and their impact on empowering Bahraini women politically, economically and socially.
