
Bahrain Future Society was honoured on the sidelines of the GCC social affairs ministers' meeting, recently held in Bahrain. Social Development Minister Dr. Fatima bin Mohammed Al-Balooshi, incumbent She stressed the importance of honouring pioneering nongovernmental schemes in promoting the principles of community responsibility in sustained development. Bahrain Future Society chairman Isa Folath described the GCC honour as an acknowledgement of the efforts made by the members of the association over the past years. He hailed the GCC shield awarded to Bahrain Future Society as an honour which extends voluntary work in Bahrain. Bahrain Future Society, a member of the National Committee for the Childhood, contributed to the national youth strategy, which was launched by the General Organisation for Youth and Sport in cooperation with the UNDP in 2006.
