
Shura Council, in a statement issued today, congratulated Bahraini and Arab women on Arab Women's Day, which falls on February the first, highlighting appreciation of Arab women's efforts in the development process in all fields.
The statement underlined women' status and achievements made in the era of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and their active contributions to accentuate Bahrain's prestigious image at regional and international levels.
The statement noted the commendable efforts of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King, President of Supreme Council for Women, in supporting and empowering Bahraini women in all areas.
The Shura Council affirmed that more legislations aimed at providing further support for Bahraini women will be enacted.
