Following the directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), the SCW and the Ministry of will organise an educational forum on women and education, next February.
The forum aims to enable the teaching staff to inform students about women's issues of importance and priority and SCW's role and specialisations, promote equal opportunities through the right applications and educational tools and enhance teachers' positive values towards integrating women's needs in the development process in order to strengthen their educational role and shed light on the educational establishments' role in activating the integration of women's needs in development.
The coordinating committee between SCW and MoE held a meeting headed by Secretary General of SCW Hala Al-Ansari to review the necessary preparations for the forum, in the presence of a number of SCW's members.
This forum comes within SCW's efforts of activating the role of MoE as one of the key partners in promoting the culture of equal opportunities and translating it into educational, social and humanitarian practices so as to create an interacting generation with women's topics.
The forum targets secondary schools' senior teachers, educational curriculum specialists, principals and vice principals.
