
In line with preparation of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) for organizing the Second National Conference of Bahraini women in October 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the king of the Kingdom of Bahrain, SCW’s President will patronize the event. SCW’s Assistant Secretary-General Dhawiya Al-Alawi today attended the meeting of the members of the Equal Opportunities Units (EOU) of government institutions with the First Counselor of UN Women Arab States Regional Office Dr. Shirin Shukri. Al-Alawi stressed the EOU’s role in the field of the integration of the women’s needs in development, and praised the government institutions that have established equal opportunities units, and the efforts of the units’ members in achieving the objectives of the national model for integrating women's needs in the development. Dr. Shukri was briefed on the EOU’s work and tasks achieved, since its inception, and future plans, and praised their efforts.
