
Marking the 2014 International Day of Older Persons themed (Leaving No One Behind: Promoting a Society for All), Minister of Social Development, Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al-Bilushi, highlighted Bahrain's great interest in providing care and protection for the elderly to provide them with a decent life.
The minister pointed out the launch of the Elderly Service Office at Abdullah bin Yusuf Fakhro Social Centre in Isa Town, as the first office in Bahrain of its kind, which translates the ministry's plans to present best services for the elderly.
She noted the ministry's efforts in proceeding with the implementation of the national strategy for the elderly launched in 2013.
