A 19-year-old man is being held on suspicion of killing two young women found stabbed to death in an apartment in northern England, police said. West Yorkshire Police discovered the bodies of Kimberley Frank, 17, and Samantha Sykes, 18, early Saturday in Wakefield, the Yorkshire Evening Post reported. Officers went to Frank's apartment after getting information from Kent police that the two women might have come to harm. Three people were arrested in Kent, 250 miles south of Wakefield. A man and woman were released, but the 19-year-old suspect remained in custody. One neighbor described the two women as "normal, everyday girls." Stephen Ryan said he did not know them personally but recognized them as neighbors. "My girlfriend knows one of the girls and she's in bits," he told the Post. "She's been saying how these lasses were nice girls and didn't deserve it." A couple who live across the road from the block of flats said raucous parties were frequent in the building. "There's always police vans out there, parties, loud music, all sorts of visitors, it's happening all the time, every week from Friday to Sunday," one said.
