The wife of Fatah lawmaker Mohammed Dahlan arrived in the Gaza Strip yesterday, accompanied by her son, visiting the strip for the first time in seven years. Sources close to the Dahlan family reported that Dahlan's wife, known as Om Fadi, is in the strip on a family visit which is her first since the division between Gaza and the West bank took place seven years ago. She is expected to meet with women's foundations in Gaza. The wife of Dahlan, who is a member of the Gaza-based Palestinian Legislative Council, having run several charity services in the strip prior to the break. Om Fadi hails from Khan Younes in Gaza. She is Mohammed Dahlan's cousin.
