Princess Bajrakiyyabha Mahidol, daughter of the king of Thailand, in the context of her official visit to Qatar, visited Qatar Foundation for Child and Woman Protection, accompanied by an official delegation led by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand She was greeted by Farida Al- Obaidli, Director General of Qatar Foundation for Child and Woman Protection and a number of the Foundation's officials and employees who accorded her an official reception. In a welcoming speech, Al-Obaidli said that "Qatar Foundation for Child and Women Protection believes that such visits would enhance the friendship between peoples and promote relations between states," pointing out that "a strategic objectives of the Foundation is to build strong relations and maintain contacts, to take advantage of different cultures and experiences which comes through visits and exchange of experiences. She provided a briefing on the foundation's role in the defense of children's and women's causes, and in protecting them from abuses to which they are exposed, as well as the quality of services it delivers, and the support it provides to these two categories of the Qatari society. " For his part, Dr. Salah Al-Mannai, reseach expert at the foundation, also gave information about the foundation since its establishment as per a decision by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser and the various services offered by the Foundation for the defense of the causes of children and women, and protection from various forms of violence and abuse against them . After the visit, daughter of the King of Thailand had field tour through the various sections that comprise the foundation to get closely acquainted with the services provided, including the line support and the consulting provided by the institution. She paid great attention to the briefing provided by Farida Al-Obaidli, in response to inquiries by the guest who expressed appreciation for what she saw and heard about the role of Qatar Foundation for Child and Woman Protection.
