A New Jersey man entered his ex-girlfriend's bedroom late at night and killed her during an argument feet away from their baby son, prosecutors said Thursday. Mark Spatucci, 22, of Waldwick is scheduled to appear in court Friday for his arraignment on a first-degree murder charge, The (Bergen County) Record reported. He was arrested Wednesday soon after Mary Greff's parents found her body in her bedroom at their Waldwick home. Spatucci was being held in lieu of $2 million bail. Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said in a statement that investigators believe Spatucci climbed into Greff's second-floor bedroom late Tuesday or early Wednesday through a window and argued with her. Greff died from asphyxiation. Leon and Carol Ann Greff were asleep and left Wednesday morning to do errands. They found their daughter dead in the afternoon with their 9-month-old grandson unharmed in his bassinet. Marissa Molinaro, a friend, told the Record that Greff dropped out of college when she became a parent. She had recently taken a job as a hostess at The Tilted Kilt, a restaurant that is preparing to open in Wayne, N.J. As a teenager, Greff competed in beauty pageants.
