
The US-based Forbes magazine will honor in Dubai on Wednesday three Jordanian women ministers as well as 13 other Jordanian women as the most powerful Arab women in the Middle East.
The three ministers are lawyer Reem Abu Hassan, Dr. Lina Shbeeb, and Dr. Lana Mamkegh. Along with the 13 other Jordanian women, they rank amongst the 200 most powerful women in the Arab world in the realm of family businesses, government and executive management.
The list of the 200 most powerful women in the Arab world for 2014, including these 16 Jordanian women, was published in Forbes' magazine's most recent edition.
Minister of Transport Dr. Lina Shbeeb ranked 11th among 59 women from the government sector, while Minister of Social Development Reem Abu Hassan, Minister of Culture Lana Mamkegh, Director General of the Social Security Corporation Nadia Abdul Raouf Rrawabdeh, Senator Haifa Al Najjar and MP Hind Al Fayez ranked 12th, 21st, 27th, 56th and 58th respectively.
