
Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Development and International Co-operation, has discussed with Jordan's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh, bilateral relations, cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
During the meeting held here yesterday, the two sides reviewed humanitarian repercussions of Syrian crisis in Jordan, which hosts over 600, 000 refugees who put huge burden on Jordan.
Sheikha Lubna appreciated the role shouldered by Jordan led by his Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, in receiving and sheltering the refugees, noting that the U.A.E. backs Jordan in those efforts.
For his part, Judeh commended the U.A.E.'s support to his country, stressing that international community should exercise its responsibility to help Jordan discharge its humanitarian role. He underlined that the political solution to Syria's standoff would resolve humanitarian crisis, and encourage refugees to return home in peace.
