
The MP, of the Iraqiya Hurra list, Zuhair al-Araji said that there is pressure from political parties and government beneficiaries to close the files of the corruption in the central bank. He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "There is evident procrastination in the investigations on corruption of the Central Bank, because of political and government pressures, which are trying to freeze these investigations at the present time, at least, indicating that this procrastination will not end because of these pressures exerted on investigative committees by influential actors / unnamed / ". He added, "An investigative committees have been formed by the parliament, and the government and several changes in the central bank took place, and some of those involved have been held accountable, but this does not mean that the issue of corruption has ended, pointing to the existence of influential and authoritarian parties involved in this file." / end
