The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) organized a training workshop comprising an (intensive training toolkit for Equal Opportunities Units (EOUs) for the sake of assimilation of women's needs in development) in which a number of specialists from the government ministries participated. The workshop included a lecture presented by SCW's training and development advisor Bahija Al-Dulaimi in which she explained the principles and concepts of equal opportunities units, shedding light on EOUs' role and task, imparting communication, negotiation and leadership skills in the spirit of teamwork in addition to appraisal and follow-up skills in recognition of Bahraini women's pivotal role in development. The workshop discussed a number of topics regarding prevalent concepts pertaining to EOUs and the mechanisms adopted for application of a national model for the sake of assimilation of women's needs, focusing on the need to exploit negotiation skills and the dissemination of a culture of assimilation of women's needs and creation of effective roles which help achieve these goals under a uniform structure.
