
Honorary Chairwoman of the Arab Union for Combating Drugs Sheikha Hessa Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah underscored Monday the importance of creativity in campaigns and the efforts to build capacities of Arab cadres to achieve the optimal results in countering addiction.
The press remarks were made by Sheikha Hessa on the eve of a workshop on creativity in media discourse to raise society's awareness about drug addiction.
She noted that the workshop would be held under the sponsorship of Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah during the period 28-29 October.
Sheikh Hessa stated that the workshop aims to train media and security people, social workers, doctors, preachers and psychiatrists on the application of the latest approaches and strategies in raising awareness and educating the targeted segments of the society about the dangers of drug addictions.
