
Arab and African businesswomen agreed, in their meeting Thursday, to establish the Arab-African Businesswomen Union to be chaired by Kuwait's Sheikha Hussa Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, Chairwoman of Arab Businesswoman Council. A statement by the businesswomen said the establishment of the union aimed at unifying and coordinating efforts of the Arab and African women, as well as supporting cooperation among them. General Manager of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, Abdulaziz Khalaf, said participants to the meeting contributed to the Dubai Declaration that would boost competitiveness of the businesswomen in the Arab and African regions, and enhance cooperation between the two sides. He said the Arab Bank would spare no effort to backing the union in order to achieve its objectives and to support development in Africa.
