
Minister of Social Development, Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al-Balushi will chair the 30th session of the GCC Social Development Minister's Council on the first of October 2013 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Manama. Dr. Balushi said the Supreme Committee, headed by Social Development's Undersecretary Hanan Mohammed Kamal and the organizing committees had formed technical and executive committees in preparation for hosting the 30th session. Social work pioneering projects will be honored at the opening ceremony. The Session will discuss a number of key themes relevant to the GCC community, including children, the elderly, the disabled, social welfare, civil and cooperative organizations in order to strengthen the GCC joint action. She noted the adoption of the principle of community partnership and exertion of government and civil efforts in order to securing a better future for the Gulf community.
