The Swedish Princess Madeleine, King of Sweden's youngest daughter was engaged to her New York banker boyfriend Christopher O'Neill, the Swedish Royal Court announced on Thursday. 38-year old O'Neill was born in London and worked in finance area in many years. He met the Princess Madeleine, fourth in line to the throne of Sweden, through a common friend two years ago. According to the Court, O'Neill "summoned courage" to propose to Princess Madeleine in early October in New York, where they planned to "continue their obligations" in the near future. King of Sweden had approved the engagement and requested the approval by the Swedish government, in accordance with the procedures set out in the Swedish Constitution. Their wedding will be held next summer in Stockholm.
