Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh received on Wednesday head of the Arab League's Federation for Combating Counterfeiting and Forgery, Sheikha Nawal al-Hamoud al-Sabah.
During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of cementing relations in all fields, especially economic, and establishing ventures to serve the interests of both Jordan and Kuwait Tarawneh said Jordan is one of the first countries which sounded an alert about the seriousness of the problem of corruption, money laundering and extremism, and established specialized supervisory institutions such as Anti-Corruption Commission and Food and Drug Administration.
Sheikha Nawal reviewed the Federation's activities and plans, noting that the Federation will hold conferences in Kuwait State on ways to counter terrorism and money laundering.
She also praised Jordan's experience in combating counterfeiting and forgery.
