A Texas mother of two was arrested in Key West, Fla., on suspicion of felony child neglect after allegedly kicking her children out of her car on numerous occasions during a boozy cruise around town. According to police, Suzanne Simon first kicked her 12 -year-old son out of her car because he was reading the GPS incorrectly and then booted her 8-year-old daughter out of the vehicle so she could "find beer." "Suzanne wanted more beer and cigarettes and kicked both [children] out of the car, driving away, leaving them," Officer Bradley Lariz wrote in his report. "Suzanne continued to drive around yelling at her and slapping her on the forehead. Suzanne kicked her out of the car two more times to find beer and she picked a beer up off the sidewalk to give Suzanne." The kids are now in the custody of the state's Department of Children and Families. "She never mistreated the kids. Never," Simon's friend Mary Lou told KHOU 11. "I can't believe Suzanne would do something like that. That's not Suzanne." The 38-year-old was taken to the Monroe County Detention Center on Stock Island.
