Dr. Al Qubaisi expressed her pride in the notable increase in the number of nations that admit to the responsibility each country holds towards stopping violence against women, protecting them, and providing swift an efficient assistance, and more importantly, pursuing those who cause them harm. She reiterated that the UAE is committed strongly towards gender equality and women empowerment on both national and international levels, adding that the UAE government now sees a number of high-ranked positions occupied by competent women, politically, financially, academically and culturally, stating as an example four women ministers in the UAE's cabinet, as well as the percentage of women presence in the UAE Parliament - 18 percent. On another note, Dr. Amal Al Qubaisi stated that the UAE has finalised the necessary procedures that guarantee female participation in the decision-making positions. The UAE cabinet has issued a resolution that aims to reinforce women's participation in boards of directors in government companies and associations, making the UAE the first regionally and second internationally in its commitment to including females in the administrative positions. She expressed her comfort at the way the delegation members ran discussions with the American side, saying that they have successfully reflected the professional and academic level the UAE women Enjoy. Discussions included exchanging opinions and experiences both sides have in common in their respective countries. Dr. Al Qubaisi praised the attention and unlimited support provided for Emirati women by the leadership, mainly by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and H. H Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council of Motherhood and Childhood, as well as the role played by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder the UAE Union, who was a lifetime supporter of Emirati Women and paved the way for a complete integration in all sectors.
