The artist Houria Aichi has renewed her attachment to the ancestral heritage that marked her career.
Speaking Saturday during the cultural forum of the Aures, held in the University of Batna, Houria Aichi presented on this occasion her biographical book "Houria Aichi, Lady of the Aures" written by Noureddine Saadi and published by Shihab publishing houses.
The audience has listened to the artist speaking about her desire to write and interpret "most modern" versions of chaouies songs while maintaining the original instruments which are truly unique to the Aures song.
The author of the book, Saadi, reminded the career of Aichi whose repertoire is "the result of hard work of research and collection
chaouis of songs. "For him, the singer who is distinguished by a" remarkable presence on stage" and "extraordinary” vocal performance, can be proud for having allowed the public to rediscover a large part of the national music heritage, notably the chaouie music and different sounds that it brings.
