Women need to vote in election

Chairperson of the National Council for Women (NCW) Mervat el-Talawy has called on the Egyptian women to vote in the presidential election. "We need to prove that the June 30 Revolution was a popular event the world needed to respect," she said in a conference in Menia, Upper Egypt. The NCW preferred taking no sides in the upcoming presidential vote, added Talawy. She ruled out the claims that the election was already decided, noting that 24 million voters in Egypt were women.
