An EU technical aid program worth 20 million euros for Egypt will be launched early in October 2015, caretaker minister industry and trade Mounir Fakhri Abdel Nour said Thursday.
The program aims to provide technical services to develop the mechanism for foreign trade, trade agreements, industrial development and quality infrastructure, Abdel Nour added at a meeting with Ambassador James Moran, Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt.
The three-year program will contribute to efforts to increase competitiveness of Egyptian industrial sectors and improve their quality standards both in the local and international markets, Abdel Nour said.
