
Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi conferred with his counterparts from Russia and South Africa on ways to expand ties in area of communications. In separate meetings with Russian Communications and Mass Media Minister Nikolai Nikiforov and South African Minister of Communications Younus Karim on the sidelines of the first day of World Congress on Smart Phone held in Spain's Barcelona on Tuesday, Vaezi discussed cooperation in the field of telecommunications, according to Iran's Embassy in Spain. The ministers underlined the need for consolidating ties in the fields of telecommunications industry, infrastructure and telecommunications services. The Mobile World Congress opened in Barcelona on February 24 and will end work on February 27. The four-day event will enable visitors to catch a glimpse of new smart gadgets and devices that producers are already marketing. The Barcelona fair is the biggest event for the mobile technology sector.
