Park: Science, technology are key to South Korea's growth

President Park Geun-hye on Friday said science and technology are fundamental to powering South Korea's growth, just as investing in the two sectors was key in pulling the country out of poverty and creating one of the world's largest economies. Park made the remark during a ceremony marking the 40th anniversary of the Daedeok research complex in the central city of Daejeon, home to a number of government and corporate research centers.
