
Qatar Foundation For Education, Science Community Development (QF) participated in the 10th edition of the Forum for Science and Technology in Society , which was held in the Japanese city of Kyoto over the past two days . The Research and Development Sector at Qatar Foundation participated in this forum along with a large number of academics , policy makers , prominent scientists and researchers to discuss the future of sustainability, safety and environmental issues and ways to address moral issues of the twenty – first century in the field of science and technology. Addressing the forum , which was held under the title “How do we move forward to maintain the sustainability for the future of humanity” ,Director of QF Research and Development Sector Faisal Mohammed Al-Suwaidi reviewed efforts being made by Qatar Foundation to provide a sustainable future for the younger generations in addition to its role in supporting the State of Qatar to transfer to a economy based on knowledge. Al Suwaidi said that efforts of Research and Development Sector aims to achieve well-being of Qatari population and at the same time make a positive impact on all parts of the world . He pointed out that the sector is keen to pursue a strategy for economic and environmental sustainability through collaboration with other institutions to form a network of qualified centers to face challenges facing Qatar and the rest of the world.(
