
The Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, (ADCB) has started implementing the " Absher" program to create job opportunities for citizens, which is one of the strategic thrusts of the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President to promote the participation of national cadres in the labor market. The initiative is aimed at doubling the efforts to develop a comprehensive strategic framework for the recruitment of citizens and raising the rate of their participation, particularly in the private sector and achieving a competitive advantage for the national economy. Ali Darwish, Head of Human Resources at ADCB explained that "Absher" initiative has contributed to the employment of more than 32 UAE national in various professional disciplines so far. According to him, the bank intends to recruit 500 nationals during the next five years under a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.
