
Boubyan Bank will have accomplished its five-year strategic plan of opening 30 branches by the end of June 2014, the bank's Deputy Chief Executive Officer Abdulla Al-Tuwaijri announced Wednesday.
In a press conference, Al-Twaijri pointed out that the bank is striving to expand in a highly challenging market for Islamic banking services.
He added that the bank was able to open four branches in one month; a remarkable achievement in a short period of time.
He stressed that aside from expanding geographically, the bank is aiming at using the latest technologies, especially; the ones used in smartphones to put banking services, literally, in the hands of its clients 24/7.
He said that Boubyan Bank's branch at the airport is the busiest one for the significant of its location that offers foreign currency ATMs for travelers
