
Housing Minister Mustafa Madbouly held a meeting Saturday with a delegation from the World Bank visiting Egypt to follow up implementation of sewage projects established according to the Program-for-Results (PforR) financing instrument.
The World Bank Group provides $550 million-loan to carry out the project in rural areas.
The meeting was attended by assistant minister and head of the Project Management Unit (PMU) at the ministry Randa El Menshawi and Advisor for the Minister and deputy chairman of the unit along with other senior officials, a statement by the ministry said.
The minister asserted that the government pays special attention for the sewage projects and puts them on top of its development agenda.
According to the statement, Madbouly noted that the delegation praised efforts and progress made by the PMU and the Project Implementation Units (PIU) in Sharqia, Dakahilia and Behiera according to the schedule.
