
The World Bank has agreed to grant Yemen an additionalgrant of US$ 3 million within a project to improve the quality of higher education inYemen.This came at the conclusion of a joint meeting held here on Thursday between theteam of the WB mission and the Ministry of Higher Education and ScientificResearch, in presence of the Director of the project, to review the progress in theproject.The grant will be devoted for equipping labs in some of the scientific and technicalprograms that will be implemented within the project, bringing the total grantsoffered by the WB for the project to US$ 16 million.In the meeting, the two sides reviewed the achievements made by the project, as well as discuss the problems facing the implementation and how to overcome them.
