HE the Chairman of Qatar's Administrative Control and Transparency Authority Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah last night took part in the annual dinner and award ceremony for the best chief executive in the field of oil, which is being held in coincidence with the Oil and Money 2012 conference, due to kick off later Tuesday in the British capital of London. Addressing the ceremony, HE Al-Attiyah expressed great pleasure to be present at the Oil and Money conference honorary dinner, and thanked the organizers for giving him the privilege of presenting the Petroleum Executive of the Year Award. HE Al-Attiyah underlined that this year goes to a very distinguished executive, Fu Chengyu, the Chairman of Board of Directors of SINOPEC, in recognition of his outstanding contributions in the oil and petroleum industry. In the short period at the helm of SINOPEC, HE Al-Attiyah said, Chengyu has been instrumental in building strong partnerships with international Oil companies, consolidating China's petroleum business through well thought intentional investments, and effective development of SINOPEC s technical knowledge and ability. This award adds to his many other National and International wards in recognition of his excellence. Then, HE Al-Attiyah handed over the Petroleum Executive of the Year Award to Fu Chengyu, the Chairman of Board of Directors of SINOPEC. HE Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah was chosen to present the Petroleum Executive of the Year Award this year because of his outstanding and distinguished contributions to the field of petroleum industry, in addition to his long experience which played an important role in this area. HE Al-Attiyah was honored the Petroleum Executive of the Year Award in 2008 when he was the Minister of Energy and Industry of Qatar. The ceremony was attended by members of the delegation accompanying HE the Chairman of Administrative Control and Transparency Authority.
