Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines Youcef Yousfi said here Wednesday the security measures are being tightened at all oil facilities nationwide. The fresh security measures came following the terrorist attack on an Algerian oil factory in January. "We have taken strict measures to tighten up the security of oil facilities, " the Algerian oil minister said in a seminar at Algeria's Al Shaab newspaper. He said losses caused by the January terrorist attack on the oil facility were being assessed, but he failed to reveal the size of such losses. The minister added that some foreigners working at the oil factory had already returned to work.
