
Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) announced on Wednesday that it had awarded a five-year 118-million-Kuwaiti dinar (USD 417,820,445) contract to the Engineering Consultancy and Project Management Services (AMEC). A KOC statement said today that KOC's CEO Hashem Sayed Hashem signed on behalf of the KOC while AMEC was represented by its Operations Director in Kuwait Alan Armstrong on Tuesday in the presence of the British Ambassador here Frank Baker and a number of officials from both sides. Hashem stressed the importance of this contract in the achievement of the company's policy aimed at increasing its production capacity, adding that the company had made a distinguished partnership with AMEC during the past 10 years. For his part, Armstrong expressed his content for the continued deep-rooted ties with the KOC, stressing AMEC's keenness in the execution of projects awarded to it on time.
