
The Cabinet ratified on Wednesday raising the prices of liquid natural gas (LNG) sold to Korea Gas Corporation (Kogas) from $3.15 to $14 per million Btu, with increase of 400 percent when comparing with the previous prices. It commended efforts of the ministerial committee which was tasked to follow up the modification of LNG price, directing the committee to continue its negotiations with Total and GDF-Suez to alter the sale prices in accordance with global market prices. It also approved the representation of women with a rate of 30 percent in public positions and ensuring their participation in decision-making at differ political, economic and social areas. During the meeting, the Cabinet praised outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC), affirming that they will lay foundations to a new Yemen and guarantee equal citizenship, justice, freedoms and rule of law. Meanwhile, the Cabinet discussed a host of issues on the national arena and took relevant decisions.
