Crude oil prices rose above $82 per barrel Thursday after the U.S. Energy Information Administration reported a weekly drawdown. The EIA said crude oil inventories dropped by 4.7 million barrels to 336.3 million barrels in the week ending Friday. West Texas Intermediate crude oil for November delivery hit a trading day low of $79.08 per barrel and a high of $82.90. Crude oil in late trading was heading lower at $82.54 per barrel. Traders paid attention to European leaders discussing a recapitalization program for European banks. Home heating oil Thursday lost 0.1 cents to $2.8601 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline prices lost 0.67 cents to $2.6793 per gallon. Henry Hub natural gas prices were shed 0.2 cents to $3.596 per million British thermal units. At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline shifted lower from Wednesday's $3.399 per gallon to $3.392, AAA said.
