Russia’s gas monopoly has confirmed the gas production forecast for 495 billion cubic metres in the current year, member of Gazprom’s Board Vsevolod Cherepanov told a conference entitled, Oil and Gas Service of Russia, on Wednesday. In his words, Gazprom’s daily gas output will reach 1.7 billion cubic metres by the end of the year. Earlier, Cherepanov said that Gazprom was seeking to produce 495.7 billion cubic metres of gas in 2013, in spite of the updated forecast for the production at the Bovanenkovo oil field. “Owing to its existing facilities, Gazprom is able to extract up to 600 billion cubic metres of gas in 2013. The plans envisage this year’s output at 495.7 billion cubic metres. The indicator may be changed, but it may be five billion cubic metres bigger or smaller,” he said. In 2012, Gazprom produced 487 billion cubic metres of gas.
