Financial resources should be directed to those technologies prioritized by Iran’s oil industry, Deputy Oil Minister for Research and Technology Mohammad Reza Moqqadam said. Addressing a meeting on development of efficient technologies in oil industry, Moqqadam further said that oil industry had finalized its technological priorities through conducting a thorough study and deploying many oil industry experts’ views. “Paying attention to the priorities is necessary for boosting efficiency and productivity in oil industry”, the official said, and added, “The oil industry also should take the importance of executive aspects into account, because a great number of constructive decisions face difficulty when they come into force.” Meanwhile, secretary of energy conservation and environment of the Presidential office's Science and Technology Department said the Strategic Council for Development of Efficient Technologies had been able to gather the views of about 100 oil industry experts to use them for specifying the technological priorities.
