Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) Alireza Zeiqami made the remarks on Monday, stressing, "The market for gasoline and gas oil is such that we currently have no need for swapping, but we can activate the transit of these two products to Afghanistan and Iraq via Iran." Zeiqami had announced in 2011 that his country is due to export large supplies of gasoil to Afghanistan on daily basis. He voiced Iran's readiness for the daily export of three million liters of gasoil to Afghanistan. Zeiqami said that following an initial agreement between the two countries, Iran will export three million liters of gasoil to its eastern neighbor. He added that the exports will be in the form of consignments under the current circumstances. He further noted that Tehran has the capacity to export jet fuel to Kabul.
