The Kuwaiti Oil Company (KOC) announced today that no physical injuries have been sustained as a result of the oil leakage which occurred yesterday in one of the oil wells in northern Kuwait. The company confirmed that operations continue to bring the leakage under control in compliance with approved emergency procedures. The company had issued a statement broadcast by the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA) in which it affirmed that the ratio of hydrogen sulfide has dropped to zero in the vicinity of the oil well and this confirms the complete safety of the area. The company asserted that oil production operations in the area in which the accident occurred are gradually being restored back to normal.
